I Celebrate Myself…

To You, Friend

In this space where I can breathe
I appreciate you my friend
You have taught me more about myself
More than books or contemplation ever will

You who struggle to discover truth
You who yearn for love
You who sacrifice for your seed
I have learned truth, love and selflessness

Without knowing this
You have empowered me with your actions

Do not question your strength friend
Do not settle for mediocrity

Live from the heart
Do not hide your passion

Fear does not have you
You have allowed it
It has dangled your soul on its little finger
For far too long

This goliath will too be conquered
Smite it with the calmness of love
Embrace yourself with compassion
And reclaim your rightful place

I Have Learned So much from God That I can no longer Call Myself A Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim, A Buddhist, a Jew. The Truth has shared so much of Itself With me That I can no longer call myself A man, a woman, an angel, Or even pure Soul. Love has Befriended Hafiz so completely It has turned to ash And freed Me Of every concept and image My mind has ever known. ~ Hafiz ~

  1. I thank you for listening to me that night, in all my pain and for the gift you have to transform it into this poem. Truly it is beautiful and you have moved me to tears. I will dangle no longer, but love my goliath and claim my rightful place.

    Peace,
    Warrior Angel
