I Celebrate Myself…

Tick,Tick, Tick

My computer ticked last night! I didn’t know what to do. The screen went black and the computer just started ticking. Suddenly, my computer’s life flashed before my eyes— all the beautiful music, my poems, the essays I saved from other writers, my assignments, might have been gone. I didn’t back up— I didn’t have an external hard drive to back up my work.

I held my breath as I turned my laptop back on, hoping that everything was still there– my ladybug background, essays that I forgot to place in the appropriate folders spread across my desktop, and my music, my sweet music. They were all there. I immedialty went online and googled, ” Mac ticking” and found out that a tick is a warning sign that your hard drive is about to die. I looked at my laptop and said, “Hold on, you just hold on until the end of the semester,(until the end of the year even)!”

This morning after yoga class, I immediately went to Office Depot and bought a hard drive. All the things that I love, that make me smile (on my Mac at least) are now saved on a hard drive. Thank tha Lord!

I Have Learned So much from God That I can no longer Call Myself A Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim, A Buddhist, a Jew. The Truth has shared so much of Itself With me That I can no longer call myself A man, a woman, an angel, Or even pure Soul. Love has Befriended Hafiz so completely It has turned to ash And freed Me Of every concept and image My mind has ever known. ~ Hafiz ~
